Welcome to our study!

In this project, you will go through several steps, as described below:

1.  Questionnaires:  You'll start by completing three short questionnaires. Two of them will be online through our website, and the last one will be on paper. Don't worry—it should only take about 10 minutes in total.

2.  Programming Tasks:  Next, you'll work on two programming tasks. These involve partially implementing a specific functionality and code optimization. While you're working, an eye-tracker will record your eye movements to help us with our research. Each task will take about 20 minutes, with a 5-minute break in between—so around 45 minutes total.

3.  Post-Survey: Finally, you'll fill out a short post-survey where we’ll ask for some personal information, feedback, and reflections on your experience. Rest assured, your data will remain anonymous and will only be used for research purposes.

A couple of pointers:
-  On average, this experiment will require approximately one hour of your time. Please be aware that an ongoing session lasts for two hours, after which the experiment will conclude, and you will forfeit the opportunity to participate.
-  To ensure the experiment's integrity, kindly refrain from navigating back to the previous page during the experiment.
-  If you have any inquiries or experience any difficulties throughout the study, please reach out to mahta.amini@polymtl.ca

Throughout this project, your active participation and diligent execution of the assigned tasks will contribute invaluable insights to the investigation of problem-solving strategies within the domain of software engineering.
